Glass Blowing Lessons
These glassblowing lessons are designed to welcome people of all ages and skill levels to the art of working with glass. My goal is for each participant to leave not only with a unique piece they've crafted in the flame but also with a sense of accomplishment and new skills in this fascinating art form.
Throughout the experience, you'll learn essential techniques in a safe, supportive environment where every step is demonstrated and supervised to ensure you’re comfortable and confident as you work. Safety is my top priority, and I’ll guide you through the proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials to keep the experience both safe and enjoyable.
Whether you’re trying glassblowing for the first time or looking to expand your skills, these lessons are designed to be educational, inspiring, and—above all—fun!
Private Lessons for all ages.
During the standard introduction classes, you will have the opportunity to make a blown ornament, a drink stirring rod, a marble, or a pendant.
During the Blow Your Own Cup class, you will get to shape and blow out your own cup on a glass lathe. There will be a color portion on the bottom of your cup that I will prepare, then you will do the rest of the work under my close guidance.
I usually recommend taking the Introduction to Glassblowing before the Make Your Own Cup due to the more advanced nature of the class, but if you are determined to make a cup your first time, we can make it happen!
